About the College of Health, Medicine & Life Sciences

In recent years the health profession has been undergoing rapid change that affected all segments of society. The health profession has become increasingly competitive, and the demands placed on such professionals have grown.

In response to the acute scarcity of well-trained medical personnel which impedes Uganda’s ability to deliver quality health care, the college aims to bridge this gap through educating and skilling medical professionals.

The College seeks to provide innovative educational and research programs in the areas of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences that will make a vital contribution to the health of individuals and communities globally.

The College will attract and retain internationally recognised faculty members committed to train the next generation of physicians and scientists. Through the advancement of knowledge in the causes and treatments of diseases, the College ultimately aims to improve the quality of life.
